Blimey, thats a bit ropey isn't it. And why would a USMC air base have a load of Soviet-era BMP armoured personnel carriers sitting around it ? Straight out of some anonymous object library without a thought for authenticity, no doubt.

Can't use that. With all those cones everytime I tried to land I'd be thinking I was landing on the M3.

Yes, that scenery is quite questionable. Having seen satellite images of the base, it doesn't even look remotely right. Dunno why they didn't just use that as it's freely available - Miramar MCAS on Google Maps
Umm.. those aren't BMP's. Firstly, BMP's are tracked, not wheeled. Those are LAV-25's - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LAV-25Paul K wrote:Blimey, thats a bit ropey isn't it. Actually, as the models in that scenery don't appear to have manned turrets (they look like remote operated ones) I would tend to think they are supposed to be Strykers rather than LAV-25's.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stryker
Any argument over type is moot anyway as the models are so badly made it is hard to tell what they are apart from a box with eight wheels!

I guess I didn't spot those in the screenshots on the linked site.
They do look like BMPs don't they.

Financially, it was either Soviet-occupied Miramar, or lunch and a couple of pints of Fullers 'London Pride' in The Eagle today, Dave. You do the 'math', as they say in the Colonies. ;-)DaveB wrote:You mean Paul didn't buy it?? :o I'm disappointed.. and relieved :goodman:
