Moving a One-Eleven

Post by Garry Russell »

Don't understand the language but a mystery as it seems to say on the right it was moved in 2000

This machine was supposedly scrapped in 1991

For 'us Brits' and fellow Europeans......it was an old friend with British Eagle and Dan Air as G-ATPL

"Goggle Translate" translates the text as

"On December 21, 2000, the BAC-111 CC CYI (c / n 032) ex Ladeco, who was at one side of the Santiago International Airport was transferred to Requinoa, located south of Rancagua, Sixth Region. The move began at 4:00 a.m. via terrestrial, arriving at their destination past noon. The aircraft will be used by the Training Center of Disaster and Accidents air, sea and land to mock disasters. Thanks Bob

So definately not scapped in 1991 or perhaps scrapped but not broken up....that is designated as or perhaps sold as.

BTW forgot to mention the film caption gives the wrong CN.......032 was a Mohawk machine.
