Glad you like them Nigel.I have taken so many photos since we moved up here.In fact it has rekindled my interest in photography.I'll try not to post too many. EricT

Nice shots, good use of the light.
Technically the RN/RAF aircraft aren't S61s, being Westland Sea Kings, S61s are Sikorsky built civilian cabs and there are quite a few differences the Westland ones actually being better strangely!

I have seen that used but it depends on what you mean by officially! From MoD's point of view the picture is of a Sea King HAR.5, AgustaWestland seem to generally call it the Sea King, the aircrew normally use some variation on Sea King, The Mighty King etc. WS61 might work for a flight plan though as I think they're restricted to four characters.Are they not officially Westland WS.61?
