Re: prop_anim
Hi Rob
FS9 or FSX ?
make each blade a child of prop0_still etc etc
lever_prop_pitch0 for engine 1 child of prop0_still (hub)
lever_prop_pitch1 for engine 2 child of prop1_still
lever_prop_pitch2 for engine 3 child of prop2_still
lever_prop_pitch3 for engine 4 child of prop3_still
100 keyframes
keyframe 0 prop fine
keyframe 100 feathered
Regards

Re: prop_anim
Hi Rob
If it's FSX
I would make a parent part for each blade & tag these as "heirachy only" (small cube for each will do)
otherwise they are a pig to animate for FSX.
Regards

Hello Rick,
Thank you for the help, it all works like a dream. I have only animated the "still" blades, is that right? It looks good anyway. Its a contra set-up.
Thanks again.

Hi Rob
Yes mate you only need blades on the still propeller part as it goes to a textured disc after 6% RPM ish

Rick
Is it true for FS.X that all animated parts should be parents at 0,0,0 and the actual part a child off that??

Re: prop_anim
Hi Garry
sort of mate
basically if whatever you are animating does not have a static X,Y,Z in default directions the part will need a parent.
thats how i find it anyway.
as keyframe 0 has to be X,Y,Z at 0 in FSX
No idea why they changed it but i am used to it now
