a BA 1-11 took off - not only was it lower than the previous two Boeings, but it was so noisy the vibrations triggered every car alarm in the compound!

now that would be an interesting sound file for FS

From personal experience on the jumpseat, going from 26 flap to 45 flap caused a very noticeable nosedown pitch change and deceleration, the overall effect was like the airtcraft had run into a brick wall.

Big handful of power needed to compensate...
