Ahh Clan Line, the best loco out on the mainline at the moment. Always looks immaculate and one of Eastleighs finest. Tangmere's bigger sister I guess you could call her

Got to agree with you there Richard.
When I have seen Tangmere this year there were times I felt she should have been a member of the 'Royal Navy' class

Yes it is a shame in some ways that all the Merchant Navies were modified. Would have loved to have seen an original one of them at full flight.

Here is a shot from today's run. Not perfect I'm sorry to say, but I blame the geography of the line. The only clear views of the line are looking south, not ideal with a low sun

there difficult things to photograph to be sure, but I think you should be pleased with that one. I don't suppose that the Snow makes the exposure easy either.

Thanks for the comments. I suppose it is swings & roundabouts. If I had been on the south side of the line I wouldn't have had the steam/smoke effect.
