Cheers Nigel

It has but no harm being topical :xgrin:

CF-TPA.the one with the red stripe groundlooped at Bronson Creek and was written off. C-FDFC the blue one was ex G-BISU of Instone and crashed at Enstone just weeks after the Heathrow flypast. The cockpit was saved for private use and the wings are still behind a hangar.

The grey one C-FYQS replaced 'TPA and was at one time G-AMLK with Instone/Atlantic and was the last of the type flying. It was retired to an Air Museum in an airthworthy state but remains unflown.

There have been moves to bring it back, but money mainly, has thwarted any attempts :'(

Wonderful information Garry, but would not expect any less from the man himself!! 8) Maybe someone with an interest in British Aviation like Sir Richard Branson could do it, if only for old times sake. 8)

A few years ago I was lucky enougth to be sitting in my sisters back garden, Mortlake, right under the landing path of Heathrow airport.
A stream of historic types flew over including the Lancaster and a Bristol Freighter.
Unfortunately not long after it belly flopped and was written off.
