Hi,

You are right, it's the right hand external door that opens in the VC.

The reason why it doesn't open in the external view is that Manfred got unfixable mesh distortions when he tried cutting the door out in the external model. So he left it closed.

Hope this helps,
Tom Gibson

NEW REVISED VC with 2 different textures by M. Jahn. Good enhancement ! On flightsim today. GREAT! Also available are the files for ad-hoc personal color mods.

Sorry to bump, but I just installed this and it is brilliant! Kudos to Manfed and the entire team. I replaced my freeware Alphasim version (originally payware) and this new version is miles ahead of the Alphasim version - especially the fantastic panel.

I hadn't noticed this post last time round, but stumbled onto the model last night while looking for something else. My first thought was this is beautiful. A fantastic model that doesn't cost a penny...!

Flew it around a bit - impressed in every way!

I thought the Connie was coming to the VA. Any news.
That's still the plan Simon ;) None of the aircraft we acquired have gone for disposal.. they're just awaiting route info and integration ;)

the north altlantic routes are already thier, if you went first class or deluxe you flew via the B377 strato cruiser in the ultimate luxury in"monarch" class, not seen before or since on a commercial airliner

if you were in the cheap seats IE tourist class you went in the connie L-049 or L-749 this was the "Coronet" class and those that went to canada were "beaver" flights and those to america "mayflower" flights.

same routes as the B377 already flown by the VA so in the interim you could just add the constellation as a type to be flown on those routes. (but no further than Kingston)

have not seen John on windows live for a long time now so unable to drop him the BOAC timetables for the connies, also have the BOAC frieghter routes for the connie though these were mostly the convertable super connies IE L-1049D and L-1049H. B.O.A.C colours, USA reg
