Mmm, it seems to have lost a prop blade.

Re: Sea Fury for FSX
Well, it is correct for Spirit of Texas, including the cockpit. http://www.warbirdregistry.org/furyregi ... n24sf.html
However, I can't link the ID "WJ299" to any known flying aircraft, but is one beyond the aircraft last reported under restoration by Nelson for John Dowd. http://www.warbirdregistry.org/furyregi ... wj298.html
N24SF may formerly be WJ299, but it is not confirmed by anything I have access too, but it is likely that WJ299 was one of the FB.11's delivered to the Iraqi Air Force with WJ298 and N24SF.

Re: Sea Fury for FSX
Doubtful, as no FB.11s went to Iraq. The Iraq examples were given their own unofficial name of "Baghdad Fury" as they differed from the British examples, eg. no arrestor hook. As the British government never owned any of them, they were not allocated British serials either.Chris Trott wrote:...it is likely that WJ299 was one of the FB.11's delivered to the Iraqi Air Force with WJ298 and N24SF.

Re: Sea Fury for FSX
Sorry Steve, but several books contradict your statement. In addition, if you look at the link for John Dowd's aircraft, you'll notice that it is an FB.11 and it was assigned a British serial prior to delivery. Not all of the aircraft were "new build" as some sources want to make it seem. I would strongly suggest looking through the data here - http://www.warbirdregistry.org/furyregi ... istry.html (the parent to the links to the 2 other links already posted). More than a few were assigned British serials. From WJ293 to WN482 are all Iraq Air Force aircraft. It stands to reason that there were other aircraft within that series (potentially including WJ299) that were delivered to the IAF. The new-build IAF aircraft (the so-called "Baghdad Furies") are listed separately from these aircraft.
The bottom of the page for each of the entries has the sources, but the primary for most is the Warbirds Directory, a very well respected and heavily researched publication from John Chapman and Geoff Goodall.
Also, just note that this page is not 100% infallable as well as it shows incorrect information for ISS24 and lists the aircraft owned by Joe Thibodeau as ISS20. That aircraft is actually ISS24, but somehow the information got mixed up. ISS20 is in France after being in South Africa for almost a decade.
