Cycling: Lads outing to Llandegla, North Wales

Post by VEGAS »

Hi guys,

Been out on the bike today for more adventures. To a very beautiful and dedicated Mountain Bike trail in Llandegla in North Wales. A stunning part of the world and whatsmore the trails here are purpose built for cyclists. There are routes to test all skill levels. We had a brilliant time. The course can get very narrow and technical in parts. As a result quite a few crashed out at times.

Thankfully we all made back to the car park in one piece. Then swiftly headed for the cafe to reward ourselves with hot bacon butties and a steaming mug of tea. ;)

Any interested in the place can read about it here: http://www.coedllandegla.com/Mountain_Bike_Trails

Ha ha. You know me so well Garry.

Hi Joe,

well spotted. My mate is indeed in the process of exiting stage left.

He successfully controlled the bike through a variety of technical climbs and descents without so much as a glitch.

As soon as we stop for water - He loses his balance and falls over whilst virtually stationary.

Needless to say he did'nt get much stick. Honest!

ahhh ... comradery ;)

that explains the expression on the chaps face to the laft in red....

I remember a football game I was playing in in grade school ... our running back broke clear and took off for the endzone

about 10 yards form the goal , with out any defence players close to him, ... his feet , for some unknown reason.. stopped working
and he fell flat on his face. .. ball bounced out of bounds and ... it was all over but the crying.....

.....from laughing!!

Brilliant stuff, Eddie. They're great pictures ... I wish I had friends to play with. My friends are all old fogeys!

Bit of a co-incidence, but I've just got back from the bike shop after ordering one of these:

Unfortunately, it's the poor man's version and not the £4,000 Titanium one! But as long as I don't stop nobody will know. (Pedals would have been nice too, but you can't have everything)

I've had a couple of good rides already this Spring and I'm determined to get my money's worth before my bones finally crumble 8)

Ian :)
