Handy tip for you, Joe! Just discovered this myself 8)

Petroleum products and electricity definitely don't mix.

We were running a diesel train last week on DC (third rail) tracks. An oil feed pipe from under the leading car became detached and, apart from spewing oil over several miles of track, it was flailing about kicking up ballast. But worse than that! It hit the third rail, shorted out the current and brought every other train in the Portsmouth area to an immediate standstill. The smoke clouds, sparks and sheets of flame were as spectacular as anything I've yet to see on the railways

The moral is that you should only mix the two for entertainment purposes - otherwise people take a dim view of the consequences :(

Ian :)
