Re: Orbiter
I getting more and more tempted
Perhaps if I can master the interplanetary travel, I could simulate a real life trip...like going to visit the ex-Inlaws

Re: Orbiter
haven't played this for a while, but got the new version and it is a improvement. Now I need to reinstall all my addons..........
Re: Orbiter
Same here - in fact I have a version from 2003. I know I had quite a few addons and I am wondering if those can be transfered or do I have to download newer versions?bigred1970 wrote:haven't played this for a while, but got the new version and it is a improvement. Vista WEI give it a 4.1
can someone give me a guess as to the FR I'd get in the game?
Thanks

I have a p4 3.4 2 gig
Nvidia 7600gs and I get smooth animation with very little tearing.
and I think that if you have a older version just delete it and do a clean install. update your addons. I just installed orbiter sound... which gives you some decent sound effects... very easy and user friendly

Re: Orbiter
Ther earlier version or Orbiter I ran on my old PC which ran FS 9 quite jerkily
Orbiter was smooth on that.

Re: Orbiter
two good links for orbiter add-on's.
http://orbiter.dansteph.com/index.php?disp=d this has several good ones including one that will give you sound. it is supported by a lot of other addons.
http://www.dougsorbiterpage.com/
these are some of the best add on space craft for orbiter in my opinion. they simulate a lot of systems that are missing from the default Delta flyer, and they have simulated crew. you will need the Universal Mmu 2.0 (UMmu) add-on from the first site also.
