I've found with a few older models that re-saving the prop files as a dds often works

Brian, what do you use for opening and resaving the bmp files? Going to give this a try.

Martin Wright's DXTBMP is a good program to use. Make sure you get it from his site for the latest version and get his .dll pack too.
I've had the payware Shack in FsX for a while now and the only real cure for the props is to darken the alpha considerably.

Roger.

Hi Rog..

I can't see any discernible prob blur there at all mate. Of course.. for you, that is obviously how you like to see it. I like to see a little more evidence of something other than the spinner present (which you may well be seeing but isn't visible - to me - in the screenies) ;)

I guess the cure here is to make the prop invisible as the textures is only part of the prob as the material also palya a major role but can't be edited *-)

The cutting out of clouds on FS.9 portovers doesn't happen on all systems with some models

With my Freighter some of the team don't get the cloud cutout which suprised me and when I briefly loaded FS.X I looked but couldn't find any cutting out either on by brief slide show with the later Sim.....but most people do *-)

I don't know why this should be. :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

I can't check the Shack here as I don't have any FS working atm :((

To take the topic slightly off at a tangent.....

Gary Jones is currently working on a "Growler" sound set, working his usual magic from existing videos of the real thing. Included will be a viper subset

Hi Dave,
Thought I'd show a closer screenshot without too many clouds (which the props do inevitably hide behind).
