What's next?

Post by nigelb »

I was awakened at 5:04 this morning by this very deep rumbling sound that grew louder and louder. :worried: I could feel the sound in the pit of my stomach. My first thought was it might be a plane crash but there were no sirens immediatly after. Then it dawned on me, it could be an earthquake (very rare around here.) Sure enough we had a minor 3.6 magmitude earthquake cenetered about 12 or so miles from where I live as I later found out on the telly. No damage reported anywhere so far. I bet those on the US West Coast will laught at this, but it certainly got my attention, and it is the largest for our area since records have been kept.

After record snows last winter, and our current record hot weather streak, I am wondering what is next - swarms of locusts, the plague, or Armageddon? *-) Ah well, when things look a bit glum there is always :guinn:

Yes indeed.. the old booze will definitely help. While it doesn't actually fix anything, it can help make sense of what might otherwise be considered confusion. The only difficulty is remembering what you sorted out in your head come the morning after :worried: *-)

Glad we don't have many underground disturbances here.. a 3.6 may well have destroyed my pub :-O
