Project Skyvan

Post by Elmar »

Hello!
I want to make a Shorts Skyvan because the exsiting one is quite old and has only few animations and is a bit unproportional. The only problem is, i haven't built any model before, so some problem will appear surely.
The first one refers to the side views in gmax - I have found good and large bmp drawings but in gmax they look really bad. Well, I want to know how I can improve them, to have clear lines?
I attach some screenshots here:

The drawing:

And the problem:

Best regards,

Hi Elmar,

Go to the customise menu, click on preferences, then the viewports tab. Next go to configure driver and tick the 'match bitmap size as closely...' boxes.

Reboot and you should be good to go.

Good luck

Thanks you very much! It works! :)

Some Updates:
I'm a bit irritated by the poly-lines along the fuselage which I made by slice planes, do I have to change that?
And another issue, i don't know to smoothen the edges which I mark red ...
