Is that a Mercedes 300SL....?

It looks very like a Corgi model I had in the 60's.

Hi Folks

EDIT - As Darren already identified -

Beautiful

PS
What was the British component please ...
Guessing Lucas coil or distributor ?

Though probably the windscreen wiper blade.

It could be from Dougal. Time for bed I think.

The British component must be the die from which it was cast

A cigar to Darren...It is indeed the Ulenhaut 300SLR coupe:-

It was never for sale and only two were built...They are both still owned by Mercedes and they have declined offers of over 25 million dollars for each of them:-

Here is the model of the car:-

Its British bit was the tyres (Dunlop Racing):-

Like the open racer it carried two spares in the boot as front and back wheels were a differing size (So six of them really :) ).
