Lovely to see they want the new owner to take care of it. :)

Were the Chinese tridents purpose built or ex-UK aircraft? *-)

I think they all went to CAAC as new a/c Eddie though they were all initially G registered :)

Yes, the Chinese ones have conventional yokes instead of the rams horns.

Pakistan International put their Trident 1E's up for sale and they were picked up by the Chinese

They liked them enough to order 33 Trident 2E and two Trident 3B

This re equiped CAAC who had been in talks with BEA a little while before (1969) about buying 14 Comets and 35 Viscounts or in fact all the remining examples BEA had of those types. :-O

Had that happened history would have been very different for BA, Dan Air and BAF. but the Chinese decided to go for something more modern and the rest is history. :)
