A short clip of a Bristol Freighter 21

Crude it is, but rare for sure :)

That looks to be quite a old video. Like how the car was driven straight in the Bristol and doors closed.

From 1958 to the early sixties, but what is odd is that I only think of BKS operating a 31 (G-AMLJ) and that's a Mk.21 *-)

ditto

But a quick check of "British Independent Airlines" shows they operated G-AHJD and G-AILW on lease during 1960/62 - before my time!

Dates the clip then Ian :)

1962 seems to have been a peak for car ferries generally

In that year during the summer weekends, Lydd's movement could exceed Heathrow at times. :-O

Five years later it was all but over.
