I'm not sure what's made me think of this but I have so here goes With the advent of the second runway at Manchester, I'm guessing one is used for takeoffs and the other for landings as with LHR. If this IS the case, which one is primarily the takeoff rwy (eg.. is it the 24L or R).. assuming a standard SW wind?
Should the wind back enough for opposite ends to be used, I'm guessing (again) that 06L would be for takeoff and 06R for landing. I don't have any detail on my Millennium Pooleys and I don't remember there being a taxiway for 06R so any aircraft taking off would have to track down the runway and turn at the banjo for takeoff.. altogether too time consuming
There's nothing definitive in the AIP on preferential runway usage apart from23L/05R not used at night (2200-0600 local) and 23L/R to be used whenever headwind or up to 5kt tailwind component.

Runway 1 (23R) is used at all times and caters during busy periods for arrivals only. Runway 2 is used each day usually for departures only but only for a certain amount of time. It normally closes at 1200pm when peak activity settles down.
If aircraft approach from Cheshire in the South then they use runway 2. (O5R).
I suffer from paranoid amnesia. I can't remember who I don't trust.
