F.A.B.

Don't know why, but these remind me of Thunderbirds :agree:
The puppet variety, that is :)

And the BBC employs puppets on its item. Quote: "flying boats... they can also land on water"
Who'd have guessed.

Sorry, I'm having a senior moment. After the recent nostalgia and memory posts can someone please enlighten me on what F.A.B. stands for. It's been bugging me for a while, even though I can remember watching Thunderbirds when it was 'new'. :shhh:
It's not a 'bird', it's an aeroplane or an aircraft

I read recently that it was just their radio speak and didn't actually stand for anything.

I use to watch TB but was never aware of a meaning

In the Sixties the expression "fab" was used to describe many things,(a bit like awesome is used nowadays) so I guess it was just an expression riding on the back of "the time".

Someone may have decided more recently that it stood for something but the guy who said it didn't was Gerry Anderson himself. :dunno:
