If you're hoping to see pics of our 737's I'm sorry to have to disappoint you. Here's a lovely lady seen parked today waiting for her next charter flight. Sorry I couldn't have gotten closer...stupid fence.
This machine belongs to Business Jet Access and... should be based at Dallas?
Mr. Clark keeps tracking every 1-11 move and always looks forward to collecting current pictures.
He'd surely appreciate if you'd drop him a line... http://www.bac1-11jet.co.uk/ (just click contact)
Oddly, it still shows Airbus as the holder with a revision date of 02 MAR 2009.
Either way, the US doesn't work the same way as Europe. You don't necessarily have to be a "Design Authority" to hold a type certificate like you do in Europe. You just have to have a "Responsible Party" who will support the TCDS by giving the FAA somewhere to go to issue bulletins and directives to and to ensure that the users of the certificate have everything to maintain compliance.
I guess that's hopw some almost grounded types can carry on much as normal by being transferred to the US register.
Airbus has been the holder of British and French aircraft for a while, inherited from BAe and Aerospatiale............Hm.... Airbus Spitfire..............Airbus HP.42
Well perhaps not even if in theory
It was Airbus who pulled the Concorde certifcate and will pull the Nord 262 at the end of this month.

I guess they could plonk it on an 'Experimental' ticket (like the Vickers Vimy) and let it fly forever! The CAA were willing to play ball with this (for the Vimy) but ended up laying the law down in the end. Under the circumstances, I reckon they were right to do so too
Indeed, as shown here by ZH763 which I spotted circling around Andover in July.
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.
