Retrojets, how many?

Seeing the photos of the 757 retro scheme on G-CPET got me thinking.... there are quite a few retro schemes flying around by now. So I decided to look up the few I could think of and ask you guys: how many more can we find?

No.. this thread is fine here I've no idea how many more retro paints there might be out there but my personal feeling is.. don't they look good

At least the 757 is genuine

Many of those others should have polished metal instead of grey, which makes the liveries look awful as they were design to look good with metal

Also I feel that painting an old livery on a type that never wore it also awful as the liveries were designed to fit the shapes aircraft were at the time. A fly Jack Dakota would look as ridiculous as a peony pinstripe One-Eleven

But as I said the 757 is a genuine livery on a type that wore it...even if not that actual machine so BA have scored highly here.

it never wore the "British airways" livery, only the later "British" titles. I think there is something to be said for painting the whole fleet in "British"

I have to disagree 100% with you I'm afraid Garry. I know you're a stickler for detail but if there's none of the type that flew in a particular livery still flying.. what are you supposed to do other than nothing With the exception of the oversize registration worn by the Air France jet (which I never liked on aircraft it was designed to fit!).. I think all of those jets look good. Who's not to say the KLM paint wasn't current looking at that 737 or MAC on that 767. Some liveries stand the test of time

Well....I rather they not do the retro liveries at all unless they are done properly both style wise and aircraft type

What's the point of putting an old livery on a modern type?..........it just shows they have money to waste

The Lufthansa SAS and Air France Airbusses for example I would not bother to photograph if I saw them...I think they are hideous

I don't think the SAS paint looks bad and I could get used to seeing the old Lufthansa again but I'd not photograph Air France.. even in their current livery (which I like better than the old one)
