A-Mini-can Gothic?

Post by cjw50310 »

Went for a bit of motoring with the local Mini owner's club yesterday and made a stop at the American Gothic house. One of the organizers asked, expecting the answer to be no, if we could pose in front of the house with our fleet.

Below is the result. :) Yours truly is front row, second from left (in the green striped polo).

Was certainly a beautiful day for it.

None of them were classic Mini's. The partial chap in the upper right is a native Mancunian, and he's quite a character. He gets quite wound up when he hears the new Mini referred to as German, insists they're no more German than Jaguar/Land Rover is Indian. :)

There are a couple of the genuine article floating around and, much to my surprise, I saw a Mini Moke puttering down the road a couple of weekends back.

The classic Mini v BMW Mini arguments been going for almost as long as the FS2004 v FSX thing 8)
I know, I've had both while in the club up in Aberdeen. :hide:

Probably going to get banned for this but IMO the new Mini has a Fiat badge on it... :hide:

I wouldn't exactly call them new, I had my BMW Mini One in 2002

Speed - Depends on the model you go for and how much extra you spend on it, like most mini fans of both the classic and BMW models tend to do, must be a mini thing 8)
