A2A's Heinkel He-219 Uhu !

Very nice indeed, and where better to get to know it than at God's Own Airfield.

Initial impressions are very favourable. Pitch response is a bit twitchy, but I'm led to believe this is an authentic CoG matter, resolved by using the aft fuel tank first.

One anomaly is in the sound. When you throttle back, the engine sound diminishes in volume and pitch, but the background propeller noise stays constant. Also it sounds a bit like a cross between a Tyne turboprop and a Lycoming. I have a feeling the community might address this.

At around $24 or so, this really has to be one of the best value aircraft ever. A great VC with loads to point and click on, too

Three thumbs up.

Its a van detector, in fact. I believe the German nightfighter slang for an RAF heavy was ' a van'. The German translation, obviously.

Without hijacking the thread completely, I popped out (in the rain I might add) and had a mooch through the long grass and found something quite interesting lurking around the outer edges of the field, not sure how long it's been there but I might try bump starting it later.

Big images so non embedded links, so you get to see the grass you like up close and personal :)

Really interesting.,,,,thanks Darren :)

Very good effects and the low angles really add to it :excited:

A couple of those shots are rerally convincing....well they all are :) but a couple are very realistic indeed.
