Re: Famous Last Words - LGW Closure
Hi,
About right as usual
Not to Hi-Jack your post "Famous Last Words" but its the same as BBC weather forcaster Michael Fish when he said this,
"Earlier on today, apparently, a woman rang the BBC and said she heard there was a hurricane on the way; well, if you're watching, don't worry, there isn't, but having said that, actually, the weather will become very windy, but most of the strong winds, incidentally, will be down over Spain and across into France",
This was said just before we were hit by a hurricane in the South East of the UK on the night of 15/16th October 1987, i happened at the time to live in its path!
Poor old Michael has not lived this remark down but he is still reading the weather forcast on our local tv station, which is still a reminder to me when i see him of that time!,
Cheers,
Roger.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.
