In all fairness, I don't believe Spokane sees a lot of snow/ice in a typical year.

Even here where it does snow, it's usually the SUV drivers in the ditch more often than not. After the first snowy winter in Des Moines on summer tires, I quickly sprang for a set of winter tires, and the Mini is close to unstoppable with them.

In all fairness........I love the quote by the late Lewis Grizzard - who was born and raised in Georgia --- on ice storms in Atlanta

His favorite thing to do when there was an Ice storm was to WALK to The Varsity (a very well known resturant in mid town Atlanta that sits on the side of Interstate 75) and watch "damn Yankees" who were know for scorning Southerners for not knowing how to drive in winter weather and watch them try and drive on roads covered with three inches of ice....Have to admit I have done the same thing -- watching them destroy perfectly good cars and SUVs because they KNEW how to drive in a little bit of ice.........The video just reinforces what he was talking about.....

Joe your vid of the Canuck washing his RV in the rain reminded me of that story originally!

What you really need is rear wheel drive, big fat tyres and loads of power:

Lots of talent helps as well. :)

Have you seen the woman in the BMW 1 series? Not only is she clearing snow from the front wheels (for a rear wheel drive car) but she has a specifically fine method of being stupid

Totally Agree with you Jonesy -- goes right along with the idiots who filmed a pregnant woman trying to change a tire on the downtown connector here in Vegas rather than help.....
