Eek.. I feel cold just looking at that shot. The Thames has a bit of ice on it around the locks (it's just a wee bonnie river up here!) and the footpaths e t c are still covered but the roads are clear (and MY footpaths too.. can't have Joe Public falling over and suing me can I)

My car was parked in the sun this afternoon and its temperature showed 0'C.Felt like a bloomin' heatwave!.I've just listened to the ATIS at Edinburgh(EGPH)and it it -9C at 2210.Temperatures of -15 to -18C have been broadcast with an average of -11 to - 14C being the norm during the night for the last 4 weeks. No wonder the brass monkeys around here seem to walk with an unusual gait.!ATB EricT :)

Up here Joe Public don't need the ice or snow to fall over.

-13c last Monday morning on the way to the station (11 mile drive) - what fun on the snowbound roads! One idiot had cleared his windscreen and nothing else, including his lights and this at 06:20 in the morning. Challenged him in the station car park and he got upset that I overtook him in a 30! I pointed out that I could see where I was going and was doing a lot less than 30, having cleared the snow from my car, but the whole effect was ruined by being caught behind a BMW 5 series (rear wheel drive, absolutely rubbish in the snow).

Regards,
Chris

Good Afternoon,

Well i see on the news the poor old Yanks are getting it on the East coast really bad, in past years we have had it here about two or three weeks later so don't hold your breath just yet, just as we think we are out of it , it can creep up and bite us where it hurts! ;)

Mind you it is suppose to be Winter!

Cheers,

Roger, GOF.
