20 years ago, you were seeing all of their collection. The benefit of being next to AMARC is that since then, they've been able to get a lot more aircraft out of the yard. :)

Additionally, they have become the home to many "homeless" aircraft that the USAF Museum (now NMUSAF) has taken back from museums it loaned aircraft to and who couldn't maintain the aircraft as required. It will then send them to Pima for restoration and display if it doesn't loan the plane back to another museum. Being where they are and as close to AMARC as they are has its definite advantages. :)

Many thanks for that info Chris.At least I can take comfort from the fact that I didn't miss much at that time.It was still a good place to visit even then.ATB EricT :thumbsup:
