Oh what a sight, it brings tears to my eyes to think i could have bought a Bentley like the one for £895 for £350 in 1962 from my manager at the garage where i worked, i got married that year so money had to go for buying our first house!
And seeing that Jaguar MK 9 i do remember the dash lights at nite glowed Mauve, its stange how these things stick in your mind,
My first car was a Austin Big 7 and it cost me £5! and you could get 4 Gallons of petrol for a pound and get sixpence change!! the only trouble with those Austins was you had a job to stop the Bloody things, cable brakes!!
