Peter, I've cross checked on a spotter's site, and that front fuse/ cockpit is infact from a later Venom, which would make sense! Sorry for the confusion, I wouldn't be able to tell one from the other from the cockpit, but given it was your office for (some years?) I guess you remember it well

Lovely shots Toby. I've never seen the Aiguillon before, its quite a nice looking aircraft. Did it ever fly?
Ben.

Cheers Toby. Definately an aircraft from an era when they looked good.
Ben.

That fits Toby...Probably a Venom FB4 as the FB1s were still without bang seat...Here is one that I took of the FB4:-TobyV wrote:Peter, I've cross checked on a spotter's site, and that front fuse/ cockpit is infact from a later Venom, which would make sense! That cock down in the left hand corner was to turn on or off the hydraulic power for the ailerons...The elevator was still cable driven
The FB1 would not have had that as all its controls were cable driven.

Hi Toby...I have more hours on the Venom than any other jet fighter. If you click on the URL below my signature banner you will see about four years worth of my Venom flyingTobyV wrote:Thanks for the photo Peter. Did you fly a Venom at some point too?
