News: Hitler Fooled

Post by FlyTexas »

A very interesting article on the BBC regarding spies helping fool Hitler before and after the D-Day invasion. The proof of the deception comes from the archives at Bletchley Park. The world today owes its eternal gratitude to the tireless, devoted, workers at Bletchley Park . Heroes all of them.

Thanks Brian

This is just the official papers going on to archive

They make it look like this is something not known about:lol:

The fooling has always been known and how they went about it, even land lining radio commmunications to aerials in the Dover to make it look like stuff was being transmitted from there. :cpu:

I was only watching a documentary a week or so ago that covered this in great detail. :)

Yes, I read about this years ago in one of the books on the enigma - either Ultra Goes to War or The Double Cross System. Interesting to see the original document though.

Romel was never fooled.

He reckoned the landings would be where they were but he was over ruled
