Thanks Dan...It is in my wife's Netbook on Windows7 64bit...She couldn't have Outlook Express (her previous client) so she got Windows Live Mail...Then it updated to the 2011 version with a complex and totally unusable taskbar...Hopeless! but we got it back to how it was with Windows Restore and it has been fine till today when she clicked on some attachment that came in on an email (apparently from someone she knew) and clunk!...I reckon it put in a bit of Malware that broke her Windows Live Mail...This time Windows Restore was to no avail. I have downloaded a free 64bit Email Client called Mozilla Thunderbird and it looks pretty good (I also downloaded the 32 bit version and installed it in my machine to look at it).

I am hoping that she might get to like it :dunno:

I've never used Live Mail, probably because I didn't use Outlook previously.

But I do occasionally use Thunderbird and it is my wife's preferred e-mail client - it can pick up e-mail from G(oogle) Mail, Hotmail, POP3 and IMAP so everything in one client program.

One annoyance is that it doesn't close down open message windows on exiting. My wife managed to have about 30+ tabs still open on one occasion. And there is no quick "close all open windows" command - just lots of suggestions that the developers might want to look at this!

Hi Peter

My Windows Live Mail has worked ok today but it's been acting a little odd for about 2 days.
(my mobile phone will currently not grab my mail when it usually has no problem) :dunno:

Regards
Rick
