Polish presidential plane crash minute by minute.

Post by GHD »

Aviation investigators have released a simulation video, which shows minute by minute the chain of events which led to the tragic crash of the presidential Tu-154M plane with President Lech Kaczynski and dozens of top Polish officials onboard.

I am currently downloading this so I haven't seen it.

Thanks for the link George. Very interesting documentary on a tragic accident which from the findings would appear to have been completely avoidable.

They certainly had multiple warnings, even from their own colleagues on the ground.

Absolutely fascinating stuff if quite chilling in the matter of fact delivery. Sad that such accidents can still happen despite previous similar cases.

Yes. See Cork a couple of days ago. Or Toncontin yesterday.

This was Polish accident pilot error....as to the two recent accidents, we as yet do not know the cause.

I hate to disagree Garry, but we certainly do - in both cases. Nothing much to speculate about. And in such cases we should infact refrain from awaiting preliminary or final investigation reports until we speak out loud. As for the time investigation results can be expected, the accident, the drama, the victims will have lost their public awareness completely. And without public awareness - things will never change.

Best,

No we don't Nick

There may be other factors

Until there is an official report it is speculation and nothing more

No matter how obvious things seem, I've not had acess to the black boxes not have I examined the wreckage, so I am in not position to say what happened.

A Trislander recently scrapped a wing tip and that's a high wing and no fog....just a sudden gust of wind.....he flew it away safely.

If that had happened in fog and he had crashed, everyone would be saying the fog was to blame........nothing is obvious at this stage
