39 years old? *-) I'd say it's about time to hang up the Sidi's. :agree: Thanks for the memories Lance.

looks like they're out to hang him http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/17/sport ... trong.html
but I'm wondewring if it's just the stuff he had to take to beat the cancer.
My person belief, I don't think the drugs could make the difference 7 times. that's just gotta be sheer heart and determination.

I'd like to have faith in mans ability on this one. give him the benifit of the doubt. :dunno:
Imagine if Babe ruth played today , ah heck no way someones that good ...ya know.

I think you're right Joe. Any sort of smear will do for the tabloids, if it might sell a few more copies.
What exactly did these other team mates confirm? That Landis had made some accusations? That's all the story says.
It does not say these others saw Lance using illegal substances, or using the same ones they did, or that they independently sampled Lance's urine and had it tested.
It doesn't ask why, if they knew this, they did nothing about it at the time.
The story is meant to meant to make people think that Lance did - and that would appear to be all the tobacco lobby want.
Makes me sick to read this stuff. It won't be long before our Oz media start a similar campaign against Ian Thorpe and Michael Klim - just you wait and see.
Why praise a true hero when you can destroy him by dragging his name through the dirt

I don't follow the cycling scene much but there is no doubt in my mind that he is a tremendous athlete. :)

One of the all time greats!
He has been through all the dope tests that everybody else has done and never once tested positive for anything.
He recently turned up in Edinburgh and announced on twitter that he was out for a ride and did anyone want to come along! unfortunately that's the wrong end of the island for me, not that I would have been able to keep up! It does show that, in spite of his fame, he is no snob.

A great man and an inspiration for so many. I'm sure he'll still continue to dedicate his time to the sport in one capacity or another.
