Even that I don't mind quite so much Garry as it looks like some of the artists impressions of the VC10 in a book I have... but that first one

That place (the one selling the large VC10 desktop model) are also selling a Vanguard model. I had a look and decided I could probably do better with a rice crispies box and some toilet roll centers (not forgetting some sticky back plastic)

Re: Somebody is on Drugs
I notice on those Philippines ones they now illustrate the product with a 'computer generated image' of the finished product.
"However, to increase our range and to offer our customers a wider availability of choices we have included a computer generated image of this particular aircraft which has been transformed into a life like desktop model."
This 'wooden model' has a working taxi light

I would want to see the finished model before parting with £130.

That looks like a Matchbox model, the type that is supposed to have retractable wheels.VC10 wrote:Only a mere £29.99 on e-bay

I used to have the 747 and DC10 when I was young.
Difficult to find a nice image as most are the cheaper smaller Sky Buster versions with silly big plastic wheels but what I hade were liveried up versions of this one below, note the metal wheels.

Re: Somebody is on Drugs
It's actually a Corgi model - made in Hong Kong:

The biggest optimist has to be:

Why not just put it in the bin?

Ah, it might have been the Corgi ones I had as well then, all metal but definitely had retractable wheels. Swiss Air DC10 and BA 747 like this one on Ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CORGI-AIRCRAFT-BO ... 588cb7a679
