Just stumbled across this website (when doing a BOAC-Cunard search), is this new to you too?

Vanguard Production list - http://www.rzjets.net/aircraft/?typeid=293 <--- just ignore the rogue Fokker VFW 614 at the bottom of the page

Aircraft listing page - http://www.rzjets.net/aircraft/

Might be useful for other searches.

Although very useful they are not complete so some of the older stuff doesn't come up

Having said that it is pretty useful

G-APEP.. Stored :worried:

We don't have a full history of all UK airframes (951/953) at Brooklands as a number of them 'dropped off radar' when they went abroad. One thing we're pretty certain of though is that Superb is the only complete airframe remaining :)

Whenever I hear of aircraft going overseas (normally Africa but anywhere outside Europe) I always hope that somewhere in a rusting, collapsing hangar at the back of a overgrown unused airport is something long forgotten.

Just like all those Okada Air BAC 1-11s in Benin.

Is every Vanguard's history fully accounted for?

No :(

For example it has G-APEF as WFU with BEA when in was in fact sold to Templewood and leased to Merpati.

It also has G-APEG as finishing with BA when it was sold to Airbridge and leased to Air Fast

I've not fully checked through as I already know the limits of this and other similar sites sadly

No I meant (apart from Superb which we all know) is every other Vanguard's history known fully as in those that were withdrawn from use known to have been scrapped for certain.

G-APEP along with the noses of G-APEJ and G-APES are all that remain

Nothing else exists, Perpignan was cleared as was Jakarta :'(
