The far Viking does seem to be in the red roof paint.

Not sure if I can see a Freighter, but Eagle did have one knocking about for a bit and of course it could be another operator's

EDIT:.. ok, if I use my imagination a bit, the end one could have a red roof I dunno about 800x600 or 2000x2000.. I need Cinemascope to see that with any sort of detail.. even the colour

DO my old eyes deceive me or is there a Bristol Freighter parked in amongst the Eagle Vikings in the back ground of the Eagle Dc6???? The furthest Viking on the line appears to be in Eagles old solid red paint. Leif

Pete And we previously discussed "Raffles 1" so definitely the same era!

We did, indeed, Ian. Can't be many private pilots who got their own personal call signs but Eric certainly did. Somehow, I couldn't see him being allowed to do it at today's Heathrow!

Ok smart guys.....what I thought was a tall bristol freighter tail is the light on the hangar corner ...BUT the Viking on the end does have a red roof
