Just lucky the Dash 8 still had another wheel left to land on... Dont think this even got a mention on the news.. *-)

That is the reason the F50 sported a twin nosewheel...the F-27 had no fall back if something happened to the single unit. :worried:

A serious incident no doubt but imagine losing an engine like those poor folks on that Qantas A380. :-O

Thats when I'd really need a new nappy. *-)

In a way Eddie *-) , but the design allows for the remaining wheel to take the load. :worried:

Indeed it does Garry. But having worked in an airport environment. This would qualify for the full circus turnout. (Fire/Police/Ambulance/Media)

Everyone on the airstrip would be prepared and ready for the the emergency arrival.

We all know that its only a precaution but the drills remain in place.

Which is good to see. :)
