Hmmm. When BA took over the BCAL hangars at LGW they acquired a wooden hanger that was ex- Moreton/BUA/BIA/BCAL.They wanted to knock it down but found it was listed.

A few months later there was an incident that saw it burned to the ground.

True...in some local cases, bad luck and perhaps matches :-# , can often change fate :worried:

TBA is the largest single-span concrete arch or something isn't it? and the ends of the arch are similar in shape to the old Speedbird logos. Three out of four bays now have boxy extensions to accommodate the 747's tail so its hard to see except on the left of the two pens on southern side of the building.

Why don't they make the Roof Gardens a national treasure, develop them and them for all to enjoy :dunno:

It's hard to see how a hangar that few ever get to see can be a national treasure *-)
