Some old Airliners just don't like being ripped apart....especially by incompetent contractors....

Very disturbing footage.

Only for strong stomachs!

I would be keen to know how the fire started. Seems to miss out a decent segement of footage during the scrapping process.

Good for her! She fought back until the very end.

That is one tough wing! Fuel vapours in the tanks maybe? They probably got bored with the JCB and got the oxy-acetylene out...

That really is painful to watch...

Sad end to a proud and successful service.... :(

At least she gave the crash crews a valuable if unplanned training session. Can't be a bad thing if it keeps them on their toes, though it did mean they were at risk of being unavailable for a real emergency at the same time which isn't good *-)

Wouldn't movement be suspended or at least reduced while the firemen were occupied.?

Unless there are enough of them

Your probably right there Garry

I suppose even the smoke would be causing enough of hazard in itself if near any active part of the airfield to limit flying till it was dealt with 8)

 ( next time I'll wait til someone else puts their foot in it before commenting  )
