More Shortages

Post by Garry Russell »

Something occurred to me *-) , so I did a search :worried:

There are now only four..or three even (see below) Short built aircraft currently civil registered in the UK :-O

OK, so there are a few others grounded in various condition, but only four listed as current, which in itself is no guarantee they can fly, or even exist :worried:

One is, in fact not even a Shorts type, but a Canberra PR9 (G-OMHD)

The three genuine articles, two are Skyvans (G-BEOL & G-PIGY)

The other is a solitary SD.3-60-100 G-TMRB which a while ago, spent six years as G-SSWB

Thats a real shame. TMRB's CoA expired last month too so I doubt she is in flyable condition.

it's at time like this that you suddenly realise how much time has moved on and how long these things have been around *-)

Basically I was checking through some lists and it occured to me the Shorts were nowhere to be seen :worried:

Under EASA, C of A's are non-expring, however it's ARC (Airworthiness Review Certificate - valid for 1 year) expired.
