Hard to capture this one

Post by airboatr »

hope you like it. The file size is larger than allowed in the forum.
It's a photo of a rainbow I shot about two weeks ago on my way home. It's actually two photos stiched together. Not the best I'm afraid. I was fighting the rain off the lens and timing ... The full rainbow only lasted about ninty seconds. Plus I had no times to feed the parking meter. and wouldn't you know it a police car turned the corner. Thankfully the diversion of the rainbow was enough from catching my infraction.

This also was a useful proving for me to work out my bluetooth file tansfer and uploading to photobucket from my LG Optimus V.
Thanks to Sir Richard for the unlimited web and data.

Thanks for the reply Garry. I've lived along the coast for nearly thirty years but rarely get to see the full rainbow. This one is even more rare in that there was no presence of a second (or double.)

Flown through one once. No pot of gold in there though. :|

Nice picture. What camera did you use to take the picture?

Hi Jimm

Kodak Z812.

Canon Photo Stitch and Photo Shop 6.0 software for editing.

I have few more to edit of the parasurfers that day. There is one in the photo on the left
They, btw where an added complexity to getting the shot . I couldn't very well have had them in the middle so I had to wait for them to move on. Or it would really be obvious the picture was made of two photos.

Thanks for the kind remarks gents - Especially you Nigelb, we've had our disagreements from time to time, so yours means a lot. :)
