DC-8 Nose dive

Post by VEGAS »

A great snap of a rather dramatic DC-8 on short final. :-O

woah, I know its just the weird lens used, but...

the front of the aircraft looks at the wrong angle relative to the rest of the aircraft and whilst the main bulk is diving bombing the wings look level. It looks like one of the kids photoshop attempts at work. A very strange image.

First thing that struck me too Lewis :agree:

The nose seems to be pointing starboard and the rest of the fuse and UC to port *-)

The fattening towards the rear shows it is an extreme lense so perhaps that with just the nose lit in intermittant sunshine all adds up to a distorted effect.

Looks like a normal DC-8 landing when really light (aka empty). :)

The fact that it's nose down is unusual but not unknown...it's the odd look of the photo I find strange as I posted above *-)

It reminds me of the Emery DC-8's that flew into Manchester during the 1980's. I remember seeing them bow gracefully to the onlookers prior to touchdown. :agree:
