Real Flight Simulator

Post by JohnD »

Last Saturday I had a 'flight' in a simulator at CRM Europe at White Waltham http://www.crmeurope.com/

It was a belated Christmas Present and was worth waiting for.

The 'flight' was from Geneva around Mont Blanc and landing back at Geneva. In comparison to FSX, the obvious difference was the full motion sensation and the clarity of the instruments together with the full size cockpit. The graphics where not quite as good as FSX but the overall sensation was brilliant. The 'flight' lasted about 30 minutes.

I was allowed to take off fly around Mont Blanc up to about 10000 feet and land with the instructor Bruce Hutton setting the speed, headings etc.
The simulator was set up as a twin jet engined Citation. It can be configured to a variety of aircraft. Their web site shows the options.
I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something different and I will hopefully be able to book another session later in the year. :agree:

Regards

John
