Follow the Space Shuttle in Google Earth

Post by DarrenL »

Bit late for the launch but if you go here - http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/shutt ... earth.html

Then install the Live ground file into GE you can follow and track the Space Shuttle Endeavor across the globe. I'm sure this will be working for the final launch of Atlantis later as well. :)

Currently over Angola (6pm UK time)

Neat-o! Thanks for the link Darren. :) I've installed it and am currently watching Shuttle Endeavor as she streaks across the north Atlantic.

Just to add to the Shuttle'ness.

Amazing multi-camera footage from the solid rocket boosters of Endeavour - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJla-JsVNpw

From launch to recovery for each camera viewpoint. They certainly weren't going to miss any problems on this launch, one view looking directly at the spot on the wing where Columbia suffered the damage.
