I wonder if he'll use the Lincoln Highway on the way back east. There are some real gems on that route.

Derek - thanks again for posting. I spent some time catching up late last night and I must say I am fascinated by Simon's adventure. All I can say is he must be in terrific shape. 43C? I might manage a trip to the mail box at the end of the driveway, otherwise I would be sitting in the A/C all day.
