Nah.. that's one too many cylinders for a start
Call me depraved but this is the closest thing I've ever driven that has 'amused' me as much as riding a bike SWMBO has already said NO so I guess the 1.4 8-valve is the closest I'll get.. and it's not even close

Some of the early Skodas were 16 valve...including the ones in the radio

Ah.. the early ones didn't have a radio as such. It was 2 strings stretched over a cats @rse.. uncomfortable for the cat but adequate for the driver and passengers as long as you drove in the right direction

If SHMBO won't let you have one then just get a little old mini and "slip" whilst servicing it and accidentally replace the A series engine with a turbocharged Hayabusa lump...

So you being on the right side is a matter of position rather than correctness.
EDIT
Garry here's an example of wrong in the US when it comes to parking on the wrong side of the street.

Cool thing, Dave - enjoy it!
@ larry - being located about 6 miles from the Czech border each weekend, I can tell you that there are still plenty of these old rot boxes on the road.
But yes, ŠKODA (English: "it's a pity") have come a long way. Considering the company was founded in 1895 they have a fascinating history.
I even like the badge - the "winged arrow"... see how it developed over the decades:

Re: One jonesey might like...
Well.. it's back to reality with a bump.. no, more a slap in the face.. I took the vRS back this morning £450-odd later and with a possible further repair bill of £350 waiting around the corner if I decide to have some bushes replaced.. I'm back to changing gear myself (what a chore this actually is.. I'd never realised before) and enjoying performance one could only imagine in a dream (read nightmare) Having sipped from the cup of affluence and enjoyed it, the cup of poverty is somewhat bitter and all too familiar. I wish they'd have given me a pushbike now.. at least I might have had a heart attack! Such is life

Good sales tactics. Give a kid a sweet, and then take it away again.
