Good to hear you sorted your Tom Tom, Dave.
Well.. I did and I didn't Joe. Plugged it into the pc as instructed from the TomTom website.. installed the pc software.. tried to download the latest bits to the 'GPS' (we call em Satnav's over here mate) and it said it kept losing connection.. this on my daughters i5 notepad 'hard wired'! The end result was a naffed satnav. I tried again on my pc (wireless).. same thing. Eventually, I went to the office pc (hard wired) and I'm not sure if it actually got the bloody thing back or if that was because I reset it :dunno: It's working again so I left it at that  Two hours of fun and frolic wasted followed by 6hrs of Harry Potter 8)

Reality check Brian, Sam's mum and step-dad are off to Venice for a week, as you do, so I only agreed to babysit on the understanding that they gave him a huge Xmas dinner before they left so I wouldn't have to feed him.....his xmas pressies cost me and arm and leg and anyway, he'll be too busy with the household chores, he won't have time to use them.........

Apparently I can't send him to a factory for the week to earn enough to pay his way..... :dunno:

What is the world coming to... 8)

Sounds like Sam will have a busy week. So I guess you two won't have time to sneak over to Dave's place and take candid pics of him in his garden playing with his TomTom, eh? ;)

The usual kitchen gadgets, cigars and booze........

6 bottles of Old Speckled Hen.... Brazil has a lot to offer, but there are some things that I miss from the UK

A Balvenie Doublewood 12 yo malt.... See above, cachaca can be very good, but I do like a single malt

A Le Creuset Moroccan Tagine.... Unsold lamb joints will be on sale today, time to stock up the freezer *-)

A box of Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robustos.....I know they weren't really rolled on the thigh of a fair maiden :bandit:

Not that I'm complaining, it will all be put to good use......
