Spiffing! -- especially the Harrier prototype (and getting home "before your wife has finished her afternoon nap"...!)

Loved the huge Hunter and Lightning formation. Excellent video, Garry.

Really good - enjoyed that, all the stuff from the days when I was just getting interested in aviation...
Re: Farnborough 1962
Excellent. From the days when aircraft, like other forms of transport, were more varied in design and character. If I'm not mistaken, that was the the voice of Bob Danvers Walker who incidently appeared on the tv quiz show 'Take Your Pick' with Michael Miles!.My head may be full of obscure and useless info, but it can be handy in a pub quiz! Re: Farnborough 1962
There are other clips to the side
This one I particularly like because it is in colour, has sound and is probably the last "Great" Farnborough for British Aviation
The decline was already on the go but had not truly bitten yet and there was still hope.
The Trident looks gorgeous with the metal bottom and more red on the wings than the later version of the livery

Nice find, Garry. I really enjoyed that. I'm pretty sure that Dad took us to that one (we went to a few) as I remember the Harrier's first showing but not the VC10 taking orf
I suppose I must have worn a jacket and tie if I did go - I'd certainly have stood out if I hadn't

A great bit of film I made the same observation too Ian.. a complete lack of beer bellies, shell suits, baseball caps and football shirts
