Interesting project Paul.
With your evident 3D modelling skills, I'm a little mystified why you and your pals haven't built your own 3D printer. There are several "how to" pages on the web.
So why haven't I built mine yet? I'm waiting for someone to start a procrastinators group, then maybe we could think about thinking about it. Whatever.........
